After School Cricket

He is called the "Cricket Whisperer" as Ray Perry, former Personnel Officer during the height of the Keiwa Hydro Scheme, played top cricket in the Ovens & King Valley Association, in the 1930's. Sons, Bruce (Robert) and Richard would be delighted to see this beautifully framed photograph, still in the Tarrawingee Football club. The cricket club has since dissapeared but they have kept all the old cricket photos. Full credit goes to Maurie Tyers, ex Mt Beauty, now living in Oxley, who snuck into the club to capture the photo, after Keith Warren, ex teacher Mt Beauty told me (Kim White) about the photo over a beer at the Settlers earlier thgis year. Thanks Tizzy, my mate and Keith for your efforts and I am sure Bruce and Richard will be so proud. Ray was a humble and quiet lengend and possibly never spoke much about his talents.
