Beauty Biographies - Jenny Richardson (Jennifer Scott)
I am the daughter of Mrs Jenny Richardson, teacher and Jim Richardson who worked for the SEC in Mt. Beauty.
Although born in Wangaratta, I spent my childhood and teenage years in Mount Beauty, first at the local kindergarten, then at the primary school and then the High School.
After leaving school I studied at Monash University for three years, attaining my Science degree in Botany and Zoology in 1975.
From there I gained employment as a Scientific Officer with C.S.I.R.O. in Mildura.
After a year and a half, I went back to Melbourne and gained my Dip. Ed. and began teaching Maths, Science and senior Biology in the Technical School System.
I spent my training year at Sandringham Tech, then spent 4 years at Horsham Tech, 4 years at Echuca Tech, then 8 years at Lilydale Tech.
I married in 1992 and now have one child and 2 step children.
After a number of years of child rearing, I returned to part time teaching in 1994 at a tiny rural school.
In 1998 I accepted a position at Mountain District Christian School in Monbulk and subsequently taught Maths, Food Tech, Science and Senior Biology for 16 years, finally retiring in 2014.
After retirement I moved to the mid North coast of NSW and am now pursuing my dream of being a Wildlife Artist.
I have my own ETSY on line store and my own website if you are interested.
